Living The Dream

When someone asks me who my inspiration is, I think of someone with lyrics no one else can
create, a personality that everyone can get along with, and a voice that mesmerizes. Taylor Swift
not
only has all of those qualities but contains something more valuable and I think she shows that in her
songs. One day, I’m going to be just like her. Though, my lyrics won’t be as well as hers but hopefully it’ll
be thought after as one of promise and entertainment. Taylor empowers what a singer should
empower and gives hope. She’s an amazing role model and I think I’ve become a better singer and
learner because of her. She’s able to right out her feelings on paper and makes a rhythm out of it. She’s
not easily captured by the hustle and bustle of Hollywood and that conjures people like me, toward her.
I lover her music and know almost every song. I’m dedicated to learning all of them. It’s kind of like
school, I make it my priority. If you listen closely, she teaches you about life, and love, and happiness,
and so many other things. She’s very outgoing and participates in almost everything and she’s not afraid
to speak her mind.

Taylor Swift is one of the best celebrities ever! She’s intelligent and very thoughtful. We’re going
to be best friends when I become famous.
My goals when I grow up are to go to college and become a doctor. That’s my plan B. I am going to
college to study to be a doctor but I am not actually going to be a doctor. I really want to be a singer
and that’s my priority but school is my first priority so I have to think of that first. I also want to act and
also be a model. I have high hopes for myself. A lot of people haven't really decided what they wanted to be but I've known since I was really little. It all started with a song by John Mayer called, "Your Body is a Wonderland," ever since I've heard that I knew I wanted to meet John mayer and that escaladed and then I started wanting to be a singer. So, I've sung every single day since then. I love to sing and I love that my friends and family support me.

Hawksong

By, Amelia Atwater Rhodes
Danica Shardae is an avian shape shifter. She turns into a golden hawk. Ever since she was born, her people have been in war with the serpientes. The war’s been going on for so long that no one knows what it’s about but they know that the serpientes killed most of their family and they have to retaliate. When Danica’s brother died brutally, she couldn’t cry. One of the responsibilities of being an avian, especially one with royal blood is that you can’t show compassion. You can’t cry even if that’s all you want to do. You can’t show love, even if it’s all you can give. It’s called, the Avian Reserve. She heard crying, and so she left her brother and ran to t he voice, it was George Cobriana, a cobra, a royal serpiente. She wanted to kill him, right then and there. He was the reason why it’s only her and her mother left in their family. He was hurting, and even though Danica hated him, she couldn’t help but feel sorry for him. She felt herself crying for the enemy, when she couldn’t cry for her own brother. She sung George a song that her mother used to sing to her when she was little. It is called “Hawksong.”
I wish to you sunshine, my dear one, my dear one. And treetops for you to soar past. I wish to you innocence, my child, my child. I pray you don’t grow up too fast. Never know pain, my dear one, my dear one. Nor hunger nor fear nor sorrow. Never know war, my child, my child. Remember your hope for tomorrow.
“Please, end it.” George cried. But Danica couldn’t figure out if he was talking about his life or the war. Andreios (Rei) and Danica left him there to die because it wouldn’t be right for the leader of the Royal Flight and the next Tuuli Thea to kill a royal serpiente. The Serpiente believe in mercy killing, but not when it’s the Avian doing it.
Danica wanted the war to be over so bad that she decided to get married to Zane Cobriana, Gregory Cobriana’s brother, so that the two sides may unite. They both decide that they’ll never fall in love with each other but that changes and they become inseparable.
What choices has your main character had to make? Do you agree with them? Would you have made the same choice? Why or why not?: The choice Danica had made to get married to Zane Cobriana was the best for her and her people. I do agree with them and I would of made it myself. It saved her people from losing their families even though they lost most of their family during the war.
How is your main character like you? Not like you?: Danica is so much like myself because we both keep reserves and we don't want anyone to cross it. We both think it's helping us both but it's really not.
Why would others like the book?: Others would like this book because, it has romance and action and adventure and in someway it teaches you about war and life.
Have you learned anything so far?: Yes, that war is stupid and that we're fighting for no reason.
How would you rate this book?: i would rate this book a 10. It's brilliant. Kind of like Twilight in a way but without vampires. They should make it a movie. With me starring in it.
